Jonathan Pollet

Jonathan has over 25 years of experience in Industrial Process Control Systems, Operational Technology, and Cyber Security and was an early thought leader in this space. He helped birth the movement to secure our society’s most critical infrastructure systems.
Early in Jonathan's career, he worked at the Army Corps of Engineers and Chevon, designing and implementing 3-Phase Power Systems, Automation, SCADA, and Telecommunications systems. He has started a few systems integration and cyber security firms, and one of them was acquired and merged into Industrial Defender, where he worked to help grow that company from 30 people to 130 people before starting his own industrial cyber security consulting company called Red Tiger Security in 2008, which he still manages today, alongside his work at CambiOS Academy.

Jonathan was on the ground floor since the beginning of the OT Cyber Security industry and helped develop the following industry standards, regulations, and best practices:
  • ISA/IEDC62443
  • NERC Urgent Action 1200. 1300, and CIP Standards
  • CFATS standards for the Chemical Industry, and
  • Several best practice security guidelines and standards for the UK, Malaysia, UAE, Oman, and Qatar

Throughout his career, Jonathan has spoken and provided live hacking demonstrations at hundreds of conferences around the world and led security teams on over 400 security assessments, penetration tests, and red team physical breaches involving Automation, ICS, OT, and IoT systems. Leveraging all of that time in the trenches, he created several OT Cyber Security training courses including the first OT Cyber Security course in the industry in 2009, the 5-day SCADA Security bootcamp, and the Advanced SCADA Security expert course.

Over the years Jonathan has passed along his experience and knowledge to others, but upon realizing that the industry still lacked trained professionals to meet growing need, Jonathan decided to transfer all of his training materials and content to CambiOS Academy and join the team in continuing to build out an extended library of courses to upskill the workforce.
