Wireless Use in OT explores the complex RF technologies embedded in modern industrial infrastructure—from hazardous zones to AGVs and autonomous robotics. OT environments utilize a much wider range of wireless technologies beyond standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In this course, we dive deep into FHSS, DSSS, Wireless I/O, Wireless Mesh, Zigbee, WirelessHART, and LoRaWAN, alongside 900MHz applications (Ethernet/Serial). The curriculum also examines 'last mile' communications like VSAT, cellular, and Wi-Max, teaching students to assess the distinct benefits and security risks of deploying these technologies in critical infrastructure.
